From space planning & detailed 3D renderings to full renovations & new construction build-outs, we guide our clients through every phase of the design process with clarity and care.

Fortney Designs was founded in 2025 by owner and lead designer, Chelsea Fortney. With a lifelong passion for interior design and architecture, Chelsea was immersed in the industry from an early age. Growing up alongside her Dad – who was trained in architecture and owned a construction company in the Cleveland area – she began drawing floor plans as young as age seven. This early exposure evolved into a deep love for interiors, which she pursued throughout high school and college, graduating from Kent State University in 2013.

Chelsea spent 12 years working at a large downtown design firm, where she primarily focused on corporate office design. It wasn’t until she fully renovated and designed her dream home that she discovered a true passion for residential spaces. This experience ultimately led to founding Fortney Designs as a full-service firm offering both residential and commercial design services.

Outside of the studio, Chelsea enjoys traveling, attending concerts, caring for her ever-growing collection of plants, and spending time with her dog, Bailey.
